(Belated) December Mug update:
the details are somewhat hazy due to the passage of time and the alcohol haze of the 2 days, but I think I have the essentials to be able to provide a reasonable update!!

Getting right to it, Simon played his best round of the year to win on 37 points, ahead of Blake on 35 who took 2nd from Boom on a count back, also on 35.  Since Simon was out of the running for the championship, his win was pretty fucking irrelevant in the whole scheme of things.  What was of most interest was the tightly-contested title of Annual Champion, with the top six all in the running to take it out.  After all but Ryan scored points in November, this is how the leaderboard looked leading into December:

Meaning that congratulations go to Gav for taking the Annual Championship on 42 points!!  Well done, mate, you played some amazing golf last year!  The other thing to really highlight is that it seems Ryan, who finished the year on 33 points, did not score in the last 2 Mugs, so perhaps it’s worth assessing if his shitting of the bed over the last 2 Mugs was the most significant of all the contenders?!?!  😂  You be the judge.  The final standings are in the table below this scintillating analysis! 😊

The next most important agenda item is the Green Jacket.  After a 37 on Thursday, Simon was in the box seat to win it for a second time, but Blake and Boom were hot on his heels.  He could not match his Thursday form, and after right royally shitting the bed, finished on Friday with a dismal 25 points, leaving the door WIDE open for BOOM BOOM to walk through and claim the best score over the 2 days.  I don’t have a record of what he scored on Friday, but since he had possession of the jacket, that should be enough proof he won it!!  Well done and Congratulations Boom!  Be sure to bring it to each mug so you can wear it for drinks after the game.

Stevie-D took out King of Kooralbyn (KoK) so now has the job of updating the magnificent trophy that is evolving and morphing year by year.  Nice work Stevie-D and we look forward to seeing your trophy addition.
